Object Biography

Object biography is a way that archaeologists frame their study of objects. Like in the biographies of people, this approach traces the "life cycle" of objects. They start with the collection of materials and continue through their production, use, reuse, loss, excavation, study, storage, and display. It gives archaeologists an insight into how objects change, and how our relationships with objects change. These models explore different chapters in the life cycle of British Bronze Age Food Vessels.
